The Schnütgen Museum is one of the world’s leading museum for art from the Middle Ages. Before the displayed collection and the inventory from two temporary stores are moved to a single new museum building with adjacent depot, all wooden sculptures, stone objects, textiles, metal objects, ivory and glass painting are to be digitally archived in both text and image, then given an expert appraisal before being transported and entered into a database.
